- The Supreme Court limited the Financial Intelligence Unit’s right to demand data from companiesThe court found that the unit could not demand client data from every corporate service provider without first assessing whether the same goal could be reached another way.
- Instead of collecting a €105,000 fine, the Financial Intelligence Unit paid the other side’s legal costsA four-year dispute on behalf of the company Eesti Firma ended in defeat for the unit.
- A Supreme Court win against administrative harassmentThe Supreme Court overturned the lower courts’ rulings and found that the Financial Intelligence Unit had acted in an impermissibly misleading way by trying to block the client’s right to appeal.
- A workplace bullying case against Jõhvi municipalityThe bullying of a library employee cost Jõhvi municipality more than €16,000 in total.
